Mitchell Marsh and Australia are Wary of the Difficult Dutch Challenge since there are “No Easy Games in This World Cup”

Who would have imagined that Australia would begin their encounter against the Netherlands feeling a little under pressure before the World Cup had started? But that has happened because of the Dutch team’s assured performance.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-250501″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-if-those-in-government-want-to-hold-onto-power-they-cant-ignore-the-youth-says-sha.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com if those in government want to hold onto power they cant ignore the youth says sha” width=”1350″ height=”756″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-if-those-in-government-want-to-hold-onto-power-they-cant-ignore-the-youth-says-sha.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/theindiaprint.com-if-those-in-government-want-to-hold-onto-power-they-cant-ignore-the-youth-says-sha-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1350px) 100vw, 1350px” title=”Mitchell Marsh and Australia are Wary of the Difficult Dutch Challenge since there are "No Easy Games in This World Cup" 3″>

Australia lost consecutive matches against South Africa and India to begin the tournament, and for a while it seemed as if the once-mighty Aussies had fallen as they were ranked ninth on the points table. But Australia, being Australia, demonstrated to the cricketing world that they are still in the game by defeating Pakistan and Sri Lanka back-to-back.

The World Cup campaign for Pat Cummins and company is back on track, but pressure is still there as the race for the semi-finals intensifies since they will face a determined Dutch team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.

The stakes will be higher for Australia than the Netherlands since a loss would utterly wreck the five-time winners’ campaign. The Netherlands, meanwhile, will want to get back on track after losing their most recent match against Sri Lanka after defeating South Africa in an exciting match in Dharmsala.

There are no easy games at the World Cup, and Australia has to be a little weary of the Dutch since they have so far shown fighting spirit against the major teams. Mitchell Marsh also acknowledged that this is true.

After losing a few games, Marsh said in a response to a question during the pre-game conference on Tuesday that every game is under extreme pressure for them.

“I believe that every game going forward will be crucial for every World Cup participant squad. Some teams that we’ve seen have suffered a few defeats. There are no easy games in this World Cup, as I already said. Because every game is under pressure, whomever is holding the trophy in a few weeks will be a worthy champion. There is a World Cup. You are performing in front of incredible, passionate Indian fans. It’s also been a wonderful experience. However, every game has significant stakes and pressure, according to Marsh.

The Australian all-rounder discussed the key shocks that have occurred in the tournaments thus far and said that the success of countries like Afghanistan and the Netherlands against the powerhouses is a terrific advertising for the sport.

Teams have improved, yes. In tournaments like this one, which may sometimes go rather protracted, I believe that’s excellent for international cricket. Additionally, you see many games that are not very close or competitive. There are, however, no easy games in this year’s tournament, as we have said several times. And you prepare for every game by doing all the necessary reading, so perhaps you can win. So, for us, tomorrow won’t be any different. It will be a difficult assignment because the Netherlands is playing some excellent cricket, and we respect them for that,” he continued.

During the press conference, Travis Head was one of the most hotly debated subjects since Marsh said that the team management will decide on his availability at the conclusion of the day.

Head participated in Monday’s evening net session, when he performed well, but he chose not to go to training on Tuesday.

While Marsh participated in the practice the day before the game, he didn’t bat for much longer since David Warner, Steve Smith, and Marnus Labuschagne spent the most of the time in the nets. Warner was the one who seemed to be in the best of touches as the Troika battled spinners and throwdowns in the nets. Smith, on the other hand, sought to harness his aggressive side and made powerful shots. Labuschagne tried a couple sweep shots but had some trouble making them.

Smith spoke with Andrew McDonald about his hitting after his practice was over, and the Australian head coach suggested that the hitter make a few little tweaks while being on the backfoot.

Another hitter who participated in the practice was Alex Carey, who batted under Andy Flower’s close supervision. Josh Inglish, who hasn’t been able to make much of an impression in the tournament so far, may get the nod over the wicketkeeper batter in the match against the Netherlands.
